Jim Ellis, Partner of Wireless Partners has over 20 years of experience in the wireless industry, having led technical organizations in the capacities of technology, engineering, implementation and operations.
While founding Wireless Partners in 2003, Ellis spent three and a half years at SeaMobile as their CTO and prior to that start-up Extend America as their Vice President of Engineering. Prior to founding Wireless Partners, Ellis spent nine years with AT&T/McCaw Cellular in various leadership capacities including Vice President of Implementation as VP of Operations for the Western Region.
Mr. Ellis received his Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo and currently resides in the Seattle area.
Michael Eberts, Partner of Wireless Partners has over 30 years of telecommunication industry experience while spending 20 years working with multiple wireless mobile operators, including AT&T Wireless.
During his career at AT&T Wireless, Eberts worked in many capacities in both the Mobility and Fixed Wireless business units. Eberts was responsible for the successful implementation of several new AT&T Wireless Markets, which included Planning, Site Acquisition, Engineering, and Implementation phases.
Mr. Eberts has extensive hands-on experience with Project Management, Equipment Engineering, Documentation Development, Installation, Test & Commissioning of wireless products and services.
Eberts has an Associate's degree in Electronics Engineering and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and resides in the Seattle area.
Nancy Alpers is a partner with Wireless Partners, Inc., where she provides company leadership and advises clients such as Clearwire and AT&T. Prior to her work with Wireless Partners, Alpers was the Senior Director, Technology Planning for SeaMobile, Inc. She brings over 25 years of technical and leadership experience in telecommunications.
In her role with SeaMobile, Inc, Alpers was responsible for the strategic planning and execution for new products and services, including new technology development. Her accomplishments included the rollout of CDMA as well as the post-acquisition integration of the GeoLink/OceanCell GSM network with the SeaMobile network. Alpers led technical product development, including serving as the liaison between the product/technical development and vendor teams for the company’s messaging, roaming and yacht solutions.
Before her tenure with SeaMobile, Alpers was Executive Director, Program Management at Alltel (Western Wireless). She brought to Alltel a career that spanned 20 years with AT&T, where one of her critical roles was Senior Program Manager for Business Integration—International. In that capacity, she led business integration and product development for the Puerto Rico and Caribbean markets. Also during her employment at AT&T, she had primary responsibility for the rollout of 3G GSM services in North America. Alpers came to AT&T from Nextel Communications, where she was Senior Manager, Engineering and Operations. She began her career with AT&T Network Systems.
Alpers received her BS in Psychology from Nebraska Wesleyan University. She also received Oxford University’s Certificate in Global Enterprise Management, Organizations, Environment and Political Economy. She is the recipient of performance awards from ATT and SeaMobile, including the ATT Circle Of Excellence Quality Team and Spirit of Excellence awards; and the SeaMobile Employee Recognition award. Her training certification is in Leadership & High Performance Teams; Facilitation Skills; Process Improvement; Presentation Skills; Telecommunications Fundamentals; GSM Systems; iDEN Systems; and UMTS Core Network.
Laura Altschul is a partner with Wireless Partners, Inc. where she supports key clients such as Clearwire, American Tower and ExteNet Systems. A 17 year telecommunications industry veteran, Altschul brings to Wireless Partners her leadership experience as one of the industry's leading experts in strategic site development, local and state government relations and siting public policy – with an emphasis on conventional and alternative siting. She came to Wireless Partners from the network infrastructure provider ExteNet Systems, Inc. where she was the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships & Network Policy, serving on the Executive Committee in addition to her government relations/strategic siting and corporate marketing responsibilities.
Prior to joining ExteNet Systems, Altschul worked with T-Mobile USA for over 10 years, with responsibilities that included Director of National External Affairs/Engineering, and Technical and Development Market Director. Using her infrastructure development and rights of way experience, Altschul created, implemented and managed for T-Mobile the policies and programs (Wireless Access Coalition and Coverage Communications Campaign) that established consumers as siting advocates in the cell tower land use process. Before joining T-Mobile, Altschul was Verizon Wireless's (GTE Mobilnet) California Site Development Manager; and led network infrastructure build out project teams with D. Garvey Consultants for various carriers including Nextel.
Altschul has served on industry committees including the GSM Association RAG Health Policies Work Group (North American representative), The DAS Forum, PCIA State and Local Zoning Committee, CTIA Tower Siting Committee, and helped form the nationally recognized Wireless Women's Leadership Forum. Altschul has an MS in Organization Development from Pepperdine University’s School of Business and Management, a BA in Communications from Michigan State University and a Certificate in Global Economics, Management and Politics from Oxford University. She is the recipient of Wireless Week’s Leadership in Education Award.
Nancy Ellis, Partner of Wireless Partners has been in various management positions since 1985. She became President of Wireless Partners in 2007 and is responsible for all aspects of Wireless Partners day to day operation as well the CFO role for the company.
Lori Eberts, Partner of Wireless Partners is responsible for all Human Resources activities for the company including administration of the company's 401K and Health plans.
